Vernicos Yachts cooperates with the National Centre for Marine Research Institute of Oceanography, which has developed the Poseidon System.

The purpose of the System is to monitor, forecast and provide accurate information for the Greek seas. The system is based on a network of observation buoys, which collects and processes data to a specialized operational centre with the purpose of producing weather forecasts.

Poseidon system is a unique planning tool in the endeavour for the protection of the marine environment. The system can provide:
   immediate on line and dependable information
   reliable forecast
   protection of marine ecosystem
   support of marine research
